  • Application Warranty

    All software developed by Advent comes with a 90 day warranty period, during which we will correct any problems which may occur and make minor modifications at your request. Minor modifications include changes to the existing code to configure the software to your needs. In some cases, the warranty period may be extended to allow you to bring portions of the applications on-line over an extended period.

  • Custom Modifications

    After the warranty period expires, or for major modifications which are requested during the warranty period, an hourly rate will be applied to all additional work. The rate varies with the application, but it is typically $50 to $75 per hour. Major modifications include new functions, new features, or changes to the database structure.

  • User Questions

    Application users can ask questions about program use and operation at any time. Users are encouraged to submit inquiries via e-mail to advent.prairienet.org rather than the telephone, since this is more time-efficient for both sides. E-mail is checked daily at a minimum, and usually more often. A response should be returned by the next business day.

  • Maintenance Agreements

    For applications which may require continuous adaptations to changing circumstances, a software maintenance agreement may be desirable. In this case, Advent will contract for a limited number of hours of support at a fixed cost to the customer, usually at a substantial discount over our normal hourly rate. The maintenance agreement provides for unlimited minor modifications; the limits pertain to major modifications only.
