  • Storeroom Point-of-Sale

    The UIUC Storeroom Inventory application represents a comprehensive system for managing University storeroom operations. Included are modules for inventory tracking, ordering, Point-of-Sale, and Equipment Check-Out. All items are tagged with bar-code labels to facilitate use of a BHT 2000 handheld computer to simplify sale, shipment, and check-out functions. Sales can be transferred and processed electronically for university accounts (UFAS), student accounts and receivable (SAR), or general accounts receivable (GAR).

  • Property Inventory

    The UIUC Property Inventory application tracks the location and status of properties owned by University departments. All items are tagged with a bar-code label, which can subsequently be scanned by a Psion HC handheld computer during physical inventory. Property data is automatically reconciled with the campus-wide Property Accounting System (PAS) on a periodic basis.

  • Utility Billing

    The Utility Billing application provides an efficient system for managing water and sewer accounts for small cities. Written for IBM-compatibles in Visual Basic, it uses the file-sharing network model to integrate a complete billing system with cash register operations, thus eliminating manual entry of payments. Each customer bill is printed with a bar-code which is scanned at the register. Manual entry of meter reads is also eliminated with the Psion LZ handheld computer.

  • Item Inventory

    UIUC Key Inventory

    The UIUC Key Inventory application tracks both keys and key-holders for university departments, including all keys kept in storeroom reserve. Re-keying of rooms is handled automatically, so that a single entry updates both new and obsolete key records.

    UIUC Gas Cylinder Inventory

    The UIUC Gas Cylinder Inventory application tracks purchase and rental charges for cylinders ordered through university departments. Billing is automatically posted on the university accounting system (UFAS). Cylinder location is also recorded within the database.
